Office Hours:
The Village Offices are open Monday
through Thursday, 8:00am to 12:00pm and 1:00pm to 5:00pm, and on Friday from 8:00am
until 4:00pm. A drop box is available for payments of tax or utility bills
while the Office is closed for lunch or after hours payments.

Size & Location:
The Village is 1.89 square miles located in Birch Run Township in
Saginaw County.
Population:
1,653 based on the 2000 census.
Brief History:
Birch Run was originally founded as a
station on the Pere Marquette Railroad by John Moore, its first
postmaster, in 1852. It was named after its creek, which
runs through a large birch area. In 1863, the town was
renamed Deer Lick and remained so until 1868 when it reverted
back to Birch Run. Birch Run was incorporated as a village
in 1955.
